          Wednesdays are not my usual day for water aerobics, but today I had an opening in my retired-lady schedule.

An ounce of prevention

When my kids were younger, I came home from running an errand one day and went upstairs to where an unusual amount of noise was emanating from my bedroom. 

Waiting for the other shoe

          Just like any other morning, I turned on National Public Radio and stood staring out the kitchen window while waiting for the kettle to boil. Five seconds later, I was scraping my jaw out of the sink.

          It took 46 years of marriage, but the day has finally come.

     I’ve been checking the weather so obsessively it’s a shame that the Weather Channel app doesn’t provide rewards points.

This morning we took the bikes out for a quick ride – we haven’t been on them since last fall.
