Retirees

Wednesday night dinner conversation in our house:

“So how was the Art League turnout when you went?”

“Not as many as usual”

“Huh. Well it’s been cold and this is the weekend after all . . .”

“Today’s Tuesday.”

“Oh, right. . .”

  1. I had to smile. It could have been a conversation at my house. :-)

  2. Yep. Had similar conversations many times. When I asked hubby if he had the garden talk that he was supporting this Saturday, he looked at me and said "no...it was last Saturday." "But you didn't go,." I replied. "Yeah, I know," he sighed.

  3. It's so easy to lose track of days when you are no longer working.

  4. I gave up the battle sometime ago. Not sure when, but I do find that my focus on what day it is has blurred considerably. Im beginning to just be happy we have them. What frightens me, is standing in the middle of the kitchen with an empty cup in my hand, wondering why im there and what the cup is for.
