Mamie's Spiritual Side

I may have finally solved the mystery of why Mamie seems to have a gastrointestinal upset about every month. Admittedly, she has a gastric system more sensitive than the backside of that Princess with a pea, but why would her food suddenly disagree with her on a regular interval?

Then I watched the landscape guys here spew their pesticide over our lawns and finally something clicked in my little wee brain.

So on Sunday instead of walking her around our complex, I took her to the center of our little town, which I do from time to time. She left no bush, telephone pole, or patch of grass un-sniffed. We finished up in front of the big church on Main Street, and to prolong a walk she was obviously enjoying, we strolled up their sidewalk.

I was delighted of find a fledgling pumpkin in their bushes,

and she showed an interest in higher things.

  1. I do hope that you have found the solution.
Digestive upsets are not fun. For anyone. Says the woman who has just cleaned up a feline one. Jazz is never very sick. He is a little bit sick in a LOT of places.

    1. There's a question - which is worse? One big sick or a bunch of tiny gifts that keep on giving.

    2. Given my druthers I would avoid either. Or both. And in Jazz's case even the smaller gifts are not tiny.

  2. Ah, yes, Kai and she are blood relatives.

  3. I am SO glad you found the reason for Mamie's upset tummies. She is such a sweet little girl. I had to go through dozens of different cat foods to find what Lola could and could not eat and things also got better as she became used to me so her anxiety decreased.

  4. I liked seeing the little pumpkin although I didn't know what it was until you identified it.
