So the temps today reached into the 50s, and after the February we've had this was an event as miraculous and unexpected as me someday waking up 20 pounds lighter (never gonna happen). I actually rode around with my car window open and unzipped my jacket to an inch below my chin!
Sure, it's going to be cooler tomorrow and I think I heard mention of snow flurries on the weekend, but we'll take what we can get.
In my last post I mentioned our new burglar repellant - aka the 4 to 5 feet of concrete snow blocking our back doors.
Well, today we're that much safer.
A month and a half of snow like this
results in a driveway like this.
Thanks to the ongoing spring thaw, we've now added a moat to our security system.
LOL. You have kept your sense of humor and that is most important.
ReplyDeleteAnd some lovely reflections....good catch.
ReplyDeleteOh goodness..well as long as you can walk out of there! LOL!!
ReplyDeleteYou're easily satisfied when it comes to security!
ReplyDeleteGood grief at the snow. A moat! Somebody would have to want in mighty bad to go through all that! :)
ReplyDeleteWow that's a lot of snow really! Glad that spring's coming!
ReplyDeleteA moat...great security system! :)
ReplyDeleteA moat!
ReplyDeleteYou're going to need a drawbridge....
I would not survive one winter up there. Just looking at all that snow makes me want to bury myself under blankets in the bed.
ReplyDeleteSnow drifts and moats - too much for too long!
ReplyDeleteMy son was running with his shirt off in 40 degree weather...downright balmy!
ReplyDeleteYikes, I wondered where all that snow was going to go. Lets hope it is a slow melt.
ReplyDeleteLet's hear it for (relative) warmth!
ReplyDeleteSilver linings?
ReplyDeleteGive me grey skies and gloomy mists and relatively warmer temperatures any day, although it’s easier to be burgled round here.
