All of Life is a Teachable Moment

A few epiphanies from my Wednesday morning:

¨     I’ve learned that once I hit the locker room after water aerobics, it takes just as long for me to take a full shower as it does for me to then pull on my jeans with wet feet.

¨     In a related thought that arrived as I was balancing on the Y’s wet tile floor, there are probably billions to be made by the person who finally invents ladies' undies that can be donned without having to step into each leg with a wet foot.

¨     If you want snow to last, pack it together. The snowman that our 5 year-old grandson built almost a month ago on Thanksgiving may now be not much more than a snowball, but in spite of two solid days of rain and temperatures in the 40s, it’s still hanging on.

  2. Oh, Marty, I cannot do water PT for the simple reason I cannot bear the thought of peeling the bathing suit off, then the shower, then what you describe. I just cannot do it.

  3. Oh, what wonderful observations! Yes, indeed, there is money to be made if people would invent some simple solutions to our everyday irritations.

  8. Love Calvin and Hobbes!!
I have a cartoon on my wall where Calvin's dad explains why Calvin closes his eyes when he sneezes.

Take the largest towel you have, sit on one end, dry one foot, insert into leg hole, dry other foot, insert into other leg hole, or just stand on the towel to keep feet dry while dressing.
Or stay home and drink hot chocolate instead.
