It was just to be a small walk around our complex.
My knee has decided it’s had quite enough of pickleball for
now, thank you very much, and so I’m trying to strike a balance between growing
roots into the recliner (elevate the leg!) and pushing myself farther than I
should.
Halfway done, I was approaching an
area bordering one of our ponds.
A moorhen was partway up the grassy bank and further down I
could see the movement of something small. As I grew closer, the moorhen came
up the bank and walked right up toward me and then I saw why.
She was trying to distract me from the
tiny miniature version of her by the water.
I moved away so they could get on with
their day.
'Tis the season for baby...everything!
