Who knew freezing spray was a thing?
I found out when I plowed my way through the information-blocking multitude of ads on the Weather Channel in search of better weather.I may live over 100 miles from the Atlantic, but that didn’t stop the Weather Channel from offering me this timely advice. The high today will be 13 degrees after all:

ReplyDeleteVERY DANGEROUS to be on the water in such cold weather. There are those that know what they are doing, but most should stay home!

ReplyDeleteOff NJ this week there were massive shoals of striped bass and black fish.
DeleteI would guess that fishers know better than to get out in that kind of weather. Maybe it's just to, you know, CYA? :-)

ReplyDeleteFishermen on draggers and lobstermen hauling traps, scallop divers, clammers, mariners of all sorts including coast guard, supply boats, tugboats, ferry crews . . .and I'm sure many more I'm forgetting; all are familiar with freezing spray.
