April Showers
In that old rhyme about April and
the resulting May flowers, I don't think
they had today's kind of showers in
mind.
When I was out running errands,
the snow was flying horizontally and
currently the wind is gusting in the
45-50 mile-per-hour range. Oh, and
there's 2-4 more inches forecasted
for tomorrow.
Guess I'll just slide that box of
sandals back under the bed.
Horizontal rain? Urk. I think I would be tempted to assume the horizontal myself. In bed. With a book or two.
ReplyDeleteSorry Marty. Mother Nature does know how to dish it out.
ReplyDeleteWell, snow at this time of year is typical in some parts of the country. Thankfully it's not in mine. :-)
ReplyDeleteit's all extremes everywhere. I've put my flees pants away a couple of times.
ReplyDeleteWishing warmer weather for you, though wishing does little to change mother nature's own rhythm.
ReplyDeletewell, that's spring weather. We haven't had our spring blizzard yet ,but we'll get it!
ReplyDeleteGood idea to slide the sandals back under the bed. Just for a few weeks, then you'll be warming up.
ReplyDeleteMy summer shoes are on the shelf; still wearing wool socks.
ReplyDeleteI always worry about all the spring flowers when snow comes late. But I guess they're designed for that possibility!
ReplyDeleteApril showers bring may flowers and the may flower brings what? Pilgrims:))
ReplyDeleteCompliments of the Weekly Reader when I was in grade school.
Bah! So sorry. I had my wool socks back on this weekend but today was spectacular. I hope some spring is headed up your way.
ReplyDeleteWe had Summer temperatures here on Sunday. Now my son is asking when will Summer be back.
ReplyDeleteIt's snowing hard here in Breckenridge, too, Marty! I'm not putting away my winter coat or my skis quite yet!
