Shopping and heat

        We're having a few things done to the kitchen and in the process I remembered I've always disliked the lights that hang over our kitchen bar. 

So, I found these at the Lowes big box store, where I couldn't get anyone to wait on me.  

And these at the fancy (and expensive) lighting shop down the road. 

Well, that was easy. 

We're getting can lights instead, to match the ones we already have. 

 

More shopping - unrelated to kitchen events - ensued. 

Just a reminder. 

It's July, people. 

Later in the day, my cart at Costco made it difficult to lie about my age:

(Tylenol for arthritis, Glucosomine, and cream for, you guessed it, arthritis. )

Meanwhile,  this was the scene outside our window during dinner. 

You know it's HOT when you find turkeys in the birdbath.
