Foot 2 and then some over a span of 14 days.
Did you know
that according to Ask.com, white is made when all colors of the visible
spectrum are combined? Somehow that’s hard to believe when blanket upon
blanket of the stuff is visited upon you. When I look out on my yard, aside
from the variety of bumps and hills, it’s pretty monotonous out there.
We had little visitors to our doors,
in front
and in back.
On our small dead-end street of three houses we usually don’t see anything bigger
than a town truck with a plow. Yesterday they brought out the big guns.
I’m
sure they meant well, but the driver shoved away all our helpful reflectors
marking the end of our property, left a five-foot wall of snow at the end of
our driveway, and took out the neighbor’s mailbox.
We had made one pass mid-day with the snow blower, and it’s a good thing we did. Since
it snowed All - Day - Long, we went out after dinner to take out the newest
eight inches.
Result? The belt on our trusty machine broke, providing aerobic
entertainment for our evening.
And
it’s always interesting when you can prove the truth of a maxim.
Things
truly do come in threes:
1- ceiling 2- refrigerator 3 - snowblower
I do not miss that snow, but it is so lovely.
ReplyDeleteWe got around a foot of the white stuff...nothing like your snowmageddon.
ReplyDeleteWe had these two storms in such quick succession the guys are looking for places to put the snow.

ReplyDeleteYou got our snow...yeah for you! :)
ReplyDeleteYikes! You got much more snow than we did! (Not surprising.)
ReplyDeleteOuch on # 3 but at least you can relax now that 3 is a done deal. I know it is a ton of work but snow sure is pretty.
ReplyDeleteYou're getting a good workout. Sometimes i'm not sure the snow plowing is worth it when they plow more than snow.
ReplyDeleteI sort of miss the white stuff. I looked forward to shoveling snow in Colorado, since we didn't get it all the time, Here, it's very rare indeed. And yes, they do often seem to come in threes, don't they? :-)
ReplyDeleteI feel for the elderly and the infirm under thesection conditions.
ReplyDeleteI'd been wondering hat your #3 would be.
