We've survived our latest adventure. Truth be told, our adventures are pretty
tame most of the time, but they can run to events like delivering a chest of
drawers to our daughter an hour and a half away in Boston
in a blinding snowstorm, a storm so bad that all the rest stops on the
Massachusetts Turnpike were closed.

Word Power
(Pangloss – a fictional character in the novel Candide by Voltaire)
A
February issue of The New Yorker magazine brought back thoughts of my

Out of the Ether
My
mother always kept our loose photographs in a Whitman’s Sampler box. We usually

It was a good choice, sturdy with a hinged lid, and with the added bonus of the
aroma of past chocolates.
