Bless you, Donald Trump

I would just like to say, Thank you, Big D.

Ever since this horrifying and unbelievably depressing presidential campaign season began, we’re been waiting and hoping for that other shoe to fall.

We knew it was inevitable.

But when would it happen? Soon, we hoped.

After a bevy, a veritable plethora, of misogynistic, racist, and just plain stupid proclamations, Trump’s latest emission could finally be the one – the statement so outrageous, so execrable, that this carnival-on-LSD of a campaign will finally crash and burn.

  1. You would have to hope so. But I'm beginning to think there is no stupidity too outrageous for a certain segment of the public.

What startles me is how illiterate the man is. Almost every other sentence includes some mistake in grammar or usage. He makes George W. look like a Rhodes scholar.

    1. Okay. That's it for me. It's one thing to ridicule a person with a disability, but bad grammar?

  2. I wish that were so but I now have serious concerns about people that call themselves American and buy into his message. The media in this country is very sick. Every American should be required to read 'The True Believer' by Eric Hoffer. Written in the 1940s it's current for today. It's sick to want America to fail, very sick. See NYT columumist David Brooks column today.

  3. Get your sentiment, and agree totally. Let's wait though, the best thing that might happen to anyone of progressive or liberal inclination might just be Trump getting the candidacy, or even better going as a third party.
It's be President Clinton again, which is ok, though I'd prefer a President Sanders of the current offerings.

  4. It's sad that the campaign has degenerated into such low level of lunacy. What ever happened to proposing policy and debating policy. Policy has nothing to do with personal attacks

  5. We over here in the 'frozen north' have been watching and waiting for him to self destruct as well. I can not imagine that clown as president.

  6. One can only hope. The disturbing thing is, it may actually make him MORE popular with a certain vein of American voters.

I still suspect he's conducting a stealth campaign to get a Democrat elected -- he's just TOO FAR out there to be real!

    1. I think you may be on to something, Steve. He's a double agent, designed to be so outrageous that the only possible choice is the other party.

  7. I'd rather see Trump on their ticket that Cruz. Trump is a buffoon. Cruz is truly dangerous.

  8. Let's hope so! I shudder to think what the world thinks of us.

  9. It's hard to believe that anyone can take this man seriously, why doesn't the Republican party throw him out.
