Vital Information

The following are interesting facts that I received recently in
one of those chain emails.

So of course, they must be true.

They did trigger a few thoughts, though.

In Ancient Greece, tossing an apple to a girl was a traditional proposal of marriage and catching it meant she accepted.
Imagine your dilemma if you were in love but had no hand-eye coordination.

If it’s true that kites were used in the Civil war to deliver letters and newspapers, it’s a good thing Charlie Brown wasn’t in the Union Army's Signal Corps.

Before 1983 the University of Alaska spanned four time zones. Talk about a good excuse for being late to class.

The Earth gets 100 tons heavier every day due to falling space dust. Frankly, I wish space would tidy itself up before we’re all plunged into another galaxy.

Due to Earth’s gravity, it’s impossible for mountains to be higher than 15,000 meters. So how do they manage that, with all that space dust raining down?
