We won’t be heading home till the end of the month, but my urge to be there is growing and it’s not just because of the impending 90 degree temps here.
A week ago Sunday we were at
the front door, on our way to see our friend Pete across the state. My Guy
opened the door and as I began to step out I noticed something on the outside
door handle. At first I thought it was a leaf but then it moved and dropped to
the ground. I slammed the door shut, thinking, “Phew! Thank goodness that didn’t
get in the house.”
Apparently we’ve had a house guest for
the past 9 days.
Better than a palmetto bug! (Which is what I expected it to be.)
ReplyDeleteOh. Dear. God! If it had been a palmetto bug I would have put the place up for sale.
DeleteThat is a house guest I could live with. Quiet, doesn't eat much and requires no special catering. Not much of a conversationalist though.
ReplyDeleteAnd you’ve got to admire its endurance - 9 days without food or water.
DeleteHe's a cute little guest.
