Yesterday was fairly mundane – my Boomer Bootcamp at the Y, then errands in the afternoon.
Our exercise class did get even more lively with the addition of first one, then two, then a third wasp that decided to join us. There was a bit more arm flapping than usual. I drove to my teacher’s credit union
to withdraw more money in the form of a cashier’s check and then drove it to my
new account at Bank of America. My credit union doesn’t know it, but I’m
at war with them, with the ultimate goal of closing my account. I’m just
waiting to see where my next retirement check lands and then I’m outa there.
This morning I played a couple games
of pickleball and then left before things got competitive and stopped being
fun. Although they were very cordial, we had a greater than usual number of
guys there and I didn’t want to keep anyone from their festival of
testosterone.
I was already in sneakers, so once
home I took a turn around the complex, finishing up with a good half hour of
trimming down the Montauk daisies and hauling the result back to the compost
pile in the woods. (And whoops – I just looked up Montauks and learned I should
have waited till the spring. Ah well, I won’t be here from January to May, so
they’ll just have to deal.)
Your mundane day sounds pretty busy to me. These days I find one interaction with people is enough. And sometimes more than.
ReplyDeleteThat was a very active day.
