When I sold mother's house, I went in once to give the new owner a spare key, and I've not been by the house but once, and noticed that the barn had been torn down. oh dear.

The next time I heard of it, it had burned down (something in the dryer) and had to be rebuilt. Bless the new people, they did a lovely job with it, but I have no interest in meeting them, or reminiscing.

Once it's out of your hands, best not to intrude. You have the memory, and leave it at that.

mittenshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04878611591683283429noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1970111941968077431.post-64153124421570474272018-05-05T19:48:11.097-07:002018-05-05T19:48:11.097-07:00Sad for you. :(Sad for you. :(Far Side of Fiftyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07995757632158408442noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1970111941968077431.post-47072995897534389462018-05-05T10:58:53.017-07:002018-05-05T10:58:53.017-07:00It certainly has that "lived-in" look!
...It certainly has that "lived-in" look!

I drove past our former family home one time after we sold it, and although it didn't look bad, I was dismayed by some of the changes they'd made in landscaping and whatnot. I decided nothing good can come of visiting it again. That's the last time I'm going there.Steve Reedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11684120060438252945noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1970111941968077431.post-74419973876555987002018-05-05T05:25:54.542-07:002018-05-05T05:25:54.542-07:00So very sad.
