In the early 60s when I was a kid and my grandparents started vacationing in Clearwater Beach, FL they always stopped and brought my sister and I back the most wonderful kitschy things! When my parents started to go as well we always stopped there. It was a tourist attraction and not ratty at the time. It was the highlight of the trip from New York to Florida! I think my sister still has her alligator purse complete with head on the flap!Lynnehttp://www.rickandlynne.com/rick/go/otgnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1970111941968077431.post-84065844843513389142016-06-06T08:31:40.999-07:002016-06-06T08:31:40.999-07:00nice that some of the old stuff still exists. see...nice that some of the old stuff still exists. seems these days America has become totally homogenized what with nothing but national chains along the highways.ellen abbotthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00535475792150335186noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1970111941968077431.post-39797292778946788872016-06-06T08:06:43.900-07:002016-06-06T08:06:43.900-07:00It is definitely appealing to an 11 year-old sensi...It is definitely appealing to an 11 year-old sensibility. <br />Amazingly, it's been there since 1949, according to one of the signs.Martyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02366449267039641100noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1970111941968077431.post-50595469568753328162016-06-06T08:05:48.934-07:002016-06-06T08:05:48.934-07:00I can handle public bathrooms, but I am averse to ...I can handle public bathrooms, but I am averse to the ones so awful that even the outside looks dirty. There are a few things the stores don't carry here that us Southerners eat, okra, hoping john blackened peas, white cornbread to name a few. I don't like shopping at Walmart but if that's the only place I can find white cornbread and okra then so be it.Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11586429675286969340noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1970111941968077431.post-209227782985404372016-06-05T06:40:47.076-07:002016-06-05T06:40:47.076-07:00YIkes!
