We fry the piece of baloney on both sides then put it on bread with plenty of mustard. Back then we used white bread but now it's whole wheat. About wadding up balls of white bread...Daddy used to take us fishing. He would stop at the store and buy a fresh loaf of bread to fish with. You could wad up a little ball and it would actually stay on the hook, and catch bream.Henny Pennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05958386938311591314noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1970111941968077431.post-62847917595492585492017-05-17T11:07:18.681-07:002017-05-17T11:07:18.681-07:00My grandmother was so way ahead of her time nutrit...My grandmother was so way ahead of her time nutritionally. I don't know where she got her information but 70 years ago, she was right up there with today as to what would make us healthy. I grew up on whole wheat bread and thought white bread was pasty which I guess why it made good flicking balls:) Arkansas Pattihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14156004753267665579noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1970111941968077431.post-16041327698487049202017-05-17T05:34:00.217-07:002017-05-17T05:34:00.217-07:00Oh, I remember wadding up white bread into missile...Oh, I remember wadding up white bread into missiles in the lunchroom. Margarine was unheard of in our house. Sometimes the sugar was brown sugar and we would roll up the bread and call it cinnamon sticks.Riverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14794655013673748992noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1970111941968077431.post-72995517814611750492017-05-17T04:12:34.166-07:002017-05-17T04:12:34.166-07:00I remember those white-bread sandwiches with the l...I remember those white-bread sandwiches with the leaching grape jelly!
